Jacqueline “Passionate Poet” Halmon
Passionate Poet found her love for poetry in elementary school winning her first poetry contest with a poem she wrote for her mother.
Over the years she has continued to write for herself until 2009 winning a Poetry contest and joining a poetry group named W.O.L.P.S (words out loud poetry society) that would change her life as a poet forever.
It gave her opportunities to run open mic, perform at different venues as a feature over the years and start “Poetry After Dark”, that has been going 10 years strong in Muskegon.
Passionate Poet also holds the torch for “Best Spoken Word Artist” in her city for the “Muskegon Beat Awards” 2017.. “Passionate Poet made her mark as an Erotic poet but she has a kaleidescope of styles that she taps into. Now teaching poetry 5-12 grade with the Diatribe as a Teaching Artist has opened up doors in so many ways. One of her favorite Quotes is, “IM JUST A GIRL WHO TELLS TALES AND ROCK PONYTAILS”.
