Freedom is a word, but liberation is WORK. Today we don’t just look back, but we also look forward. We look at our students, our artists and our community members who continue to show up and do that work. Rest. Celebrate. Disrupt. Repeat. Happy Juneteenth, Fam. Let’s keep making room at the table. 💛💛

Happy Pride Month, Fam! 🖤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🤍🩷💛❤
Here at The Diatribe, celebrating Pride has always meant more than celebrating for the month of June. 💯💯To us Pride means actively building rooms where EVERYONE feels safe enough to share their truth.
With all of the blatant attacks on the rights and lives of LGBTQIA2S+ Americans, we want to make one thing crystal clear: The Diatribe HAS always and WILL always be a safe space for our LGBTQIA2S+ friends, family and neighbors to gather and show up exactly as they need to.
Let`s continue to uplift one another and SPEAK UP for each other.

May is AANHPI Heritage Month! 💛
The origin of AANHPI Heritage Month dates back to 1978 when Congress passed a joint resolution and was originally only celebrated through the first week of May. It was later expanded into a full month in 1992.
May was intentionally chosen to commemorate two pivotal milestones in American history:
May 7, 1843: The arrival of the first documented Japanese immigrants to the United States.
May 10, 1869: The completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, which was achieved largely through the grueling labor of Chinese immigrants.
This month, we honor that history and celebrate the diverse cultures that have already, and will continue, to shape our world!
