Genesis Villafane “Exo”

“Exo” Villafañe, is a Puerto Rican-American poet, born and raised in Grand Rapids. She first encountered the Diatribe when they brought Writing to Right Wrongs to her high school classroom. Under their guidance she expanded her poetic reach, performing at 49507 mural activations and was even a part of the team to pioneer the very first Disruptive Dialogue performance back in 2022. Since then, she’s been attending GRCC in pursuit of a career as an American Sign Language interpreter.
