Karrie Roy
Karrie Roy is a longtime advocate for education, adult literacy, and immigrant empowerment. Her experiences living in Los Angeles, overseas, and now in Grand Rapids have deepened her commitment to equity and inclusion.
She is the Director of Operations at the Literacy Center of West Michigan, where she oversees free English classes for adults in schools, workplaces, and community settings. She partners with local schools, employers, and healthcare providers to expand access to English and health literacy. Karrie holds a B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from Indiana University and has a background in improv and stand-up, which informs her love of storytelling and creative expression.
